Sweet Smell of Success:
(Source:Wikipedia)
“Mrs. Slocombe decides to sell her home-made perfume in the shop. It has to happen under the counter since Mr. Rumbold would never approve of this, and what is more, the perfume seems to have some quite extraordinary qualities.”

I’d rather have MR LUCAS TOO. He was the right one for the part!
May 2nd, 2009 at 4:18 am
in an interview he said he was only under a one year contract with AYBS, he was allready committed to something else by contract and he had to leave the show or be sued. i guess he couldnt afford to risk it, its a shame he wasnt brought on spooner tried but the bar was too high

Why did Mr. Lucas leave?
May 7th, 2009 at 5:44 am
Mr. Spooner sucked, but it isn’t really the actor’s fault. Anyone would have sucked after Mr. Lucas.

1:09 He’s management, he has to act like a little bitch.
5:14 So there’s no right to free speech? Good.
6:48 That’s silly, Unions don’t actually do any work, they just take more pay from your salary.
7:42 Thank God, they’ve killed a muppet and are going to eat him.
8:44 Are you my mummy?

Mr. Harmon is the best. He always makes me laugh. He would be a very cool uncle or grandpa.
May 17th, 2009 at 4:10 am
i have to agree with you about spooner. but at least mr harmon was a great improvement over mr mash!

You probably mean “Two’s Company” with Elaine Stritch as the American in question. I don’t recall who played her butler or the names of the characters. I caught an episode or two on PBS awhile back.

Personally I thought James Hayter’s(Mr. Tebbs) character was second best after Mr. Grainger, but I’m sure we all agree that the worst cast character was Milo Sperber (Mr. Grossman)

Yeah, Spooner was no match for Lucas. His character was poorly cast, and the succession of senior salesmen did little for the programme. Alfie Bass was the best (after Arthr Brough, of course).

“Miss Belfridge stood out from all the other applicants.” Well, bits of her did, anyway. :oD

I love all those old songs Mr. Harmon is always singing. This show is so funny. Thanks for posting some of the later episodes, many of which were quite good.
